Sawyer had his 2 month doctor visit today. He has grown 3 inches and gained 3 pounds in the past 6 weeks. He is now 23 inches long (5oth percentile) and weighs 12 pounds (6oth percentile). He is a healthy little boy! He did have to receive 3 shots while we were there -- and they might as well have given mommy a shot in the heart! I have never seen or heard our little boy cry so loud and hard. He was smiling and cooing at the nurse and mommy, then, from out of nowhere (or so he thought) he was getting shots. He did calm down fairly quickly and was giving me smiles again by the time we left. I certainly did not like seeing him in pain, but I know the shots are a necessary evil. He and mommy had lots of snuggle time once we were home. Since it was so nice today, daddy and mommy took him for a walk once daddy arrived home from work. He loves being outside, but the stroller rides usually put him to sleep.

He received 2 shots in his right thigh and one in his left -- and they didn't even give him cute bandaids or a sticker -- just these plain ol' bandaids. Look at his cute little legs!
