This afternoon, Sawyer was back to his usual self --- walking all around the house, reading books, talking, and pointing at everything! His ears don't even seem to bother him, and he tolerated the ear drops we have to give him for the next 2 days without any trouble! We are glad to have this procedure completed, and hopefully, we won't be going back to the doctor anytime soon!

Another Minor Surgery...
This morning, we left the house at 5:30am to take Sawyer to his scheduled appointment for tubes in his ears at Children's Mercy. It was 10 degrees when we left the house, and the roads were not great, as it snowed about an inch last night, and wind was blowing snow all over the road. Luckily, we made it to the hospital well before our scheduled arrival time. Sawyer was very patient and only signed "milk" (indicating he wants a bottle) to us once while we were waiting for the doctor. We didn't know how he would do since he hadn't eaten since 7:30pm the night before. The other kids, nurses, new toys, and doctors seemed to be a great distraction for him. His surgery took less than 10 minutes, and within 30 minutes we were reunited with him in the recovery room. He was VERY happy to see us, but even more excited about getting a bottle. He slept most of the way home and was glad to be back at home. He took a long nap on daddy after eating a little breakfast once we arrived home.

Sleeping in the truck on the way home -- notice his pal ducky was by his side!
