Sawyer is ONE!!!

One year ago today, we welcomed Sawyer Dawson into our world and he has been the center of our world ever since! What a wonderful year of firsts we have had! Sawyer continues to be a very happy baby, but he is starting to show us a little of a temper every once in awhile. Sawyer is getting so big and is now more of a toddler than a baby. He runs everywhere, he no longer crawls. He loves to read and play with his toys. He especially loves his toys that make noises. He is now eating everything we eat, and notices when we try to feed him something different than what we have. He still takes a few bottles during the day, but he will be transitioning to regular milk instead of formula soon. Sawyer loves bath time and his usual night time routine. He falls asleep around 7:30pm and sleeps until 6:00am on most days. Naps are a different story --- he will take a 60 to 75 minute nap IF he is sleeping on you. If you lay him in his crib, you are lucky if he sleeps 20 minutes! He LOVES to eat and will try anything we put in front of him. His new obsesssion is cheesy goldfish crackers. He gets VERY excited when he sees the package. He of course likes anything sweet and loved his birthday cupcakes. He jabbers a lot, points to things, and uses sign language to communicate his wants and needs to us. He is getting a new tooth on the bottom and now has 8 teeth (4 on top and 4 on bottom). He notices everything new and is very attentive to how his toys work. Everyday we enjoy the joy and adventures that come with parenting. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the most important thing -- he can now say "dada" and "mama" which completely melts our hearts! We can't believe how fast the year has gone.
