This weekend, we headed south to visit Grandma & Grandpa Collins in southern Missouri. Saturday morning was beautiful, and Sawyer LOVED being on the farm and playing with some of daddy's old toys. He especially loved the cows, or "moo moos" as he called them. He wore Grandma & Grandpa out having them take him out to see the cows. He wanted to see the cows, but he didn't want to get too close! On Saturday, we grilled out and were able to see some of our friends and their children. The kids had a great time playing in the sprinkler and pool. We headed home Sunday after church. It was great to see everyone, and we enjoyed spending Father's Day with Grandpa. We had a wonderful weekend!
Sawyer playing with daddy's old Tonka trunk! He was playing very intently and did not have time for mommy's camera antics! He played in the gravel for about an hour, scooping rocks, dumping them out, turning the truck over to look at the wheels, etc.
Playing in the pool. He had a great time dumping the water out --- cup full by cup full.
Sawyer and his buddy Alex, who is 4. Unfortunately, mommy did not get a good picture of Sawyer with Maddie and Cooper who were also there.
Sawyer and Grandma Collins before church.
Sawyer enjoying his books during the ride home. It takes us about 4 hours to get home, and he is a good traveler -- as long as you are armed with plenty of snacks and a drink. He looked at LOTS of books on the way home and even took a short nap.
