Santa

In order to see Santa tonight, we had to get home, eat dinner, change clothes and head off to the local elementary school.  Our Parents As Teachers program sponsored a holiday fun night complete with lots of games, crafts, snacks, and a chance to meet Santa.  All the way there, Sawyer was singing and telling us he was going to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas.  He was even telling us what kind of snacks he was going to leave for Santa and the reindeer (graham cracker goldfish crackers, carrots & hot chocolate).  After waiting in line for a few kids in front of us, who wouldn't sit on Santa's lap or started crying as soon at they got near Santa, it was Sawyer's turn.  He sat on Santa's lap, but there was NO SMILING!  He looked scared and I am pretty sure he would have cried if mommy & daddy moved further away.   He didn't even have one thing to say to Santa.  He did get to see Taylor and Brock, who go to his daycare and he was VERY EXCITED to see them.  We also saw his friend Julia who lives down the street.  He had a lot of fun tonight and was ready for bathtime & bedtime once we arrived home.
