It was a chilly morning here, but it didn't keep us from going to the local park for an Easter Egg hunt. We were all dressed warm and dressed in our rain boots to hunt for eggs. Unfortunately, the organizers of the event thought it was too wet to hide the eggs in the grass, so they put them all under one of the shelter houses. Kids ages 2-4 went first and no parents were allowed in, we had to stand outside and watch. Sawyer watched all the other kids grabbing eggs for a long time, then decided to grab some eggs himself. He came back home with plenty of candy! Not really what we had in mind for an Easter Egg hunt, but he was excited he had eggs and candy! After the hunt was over, Sawyer played at the playground for a few minutes, then we headed home to warm up!
Walking towards the park with his Easter bucket!
Sawyer is the kid in the middle of the picture in the blue vest & hat. Here he is just watching the other kids. I don't think he knew quite what to think of this whole process!
Finally, getting to open an Easter egg.
Yeah for candy!
Going down the slide, his favorite thing to do at the park.

This week, Sawyer received a package in the mail from Aunt Sheila & Dalton. Boy was he excited. There was a cute sock bunny in the package, which he immediately grabbed and started running around the house singing "Little Bunny Foo Foo" it was really cute. I tried to video it with our new camera, but he was moving way too fast for me to keep up! Of course, there was also candy, which he loves. Here are a few pictures of Sawyer enjoying his candy after dinner earlier this week.
