July 4th

We had a fantastic extended weekend!  Grandma & Papa were in town for a visit, the boys LOVED the fireworks on the fourth of July, we had a small gathering of neighbors on Friday evening at our house, spent Saturday evening with some great friends, and went swimming on Sunday afternoon.  What a fun filled weekend we had!  I have lots of pictures to share, but thought I would start with the pictures from July 4th.

We started out our morning with donuts from our local donut shop (Thanks Grandma & Papa!).  We then went to our neighborhood parade, and spent most of the day outside.  We had a small fireworks display at our house, and the boys were in bed, completely exhausted by 9:00pm.  Sutton actually had to go to bed about 8:30!

Ready for the parade!

Sutton got to play with a neighbor and friend from school!

Parade time!

The best part about the holiday -- LOTS of sugar before 10:00!!
Sawyer had 2 donuts (one at home and one at the parade) and was given a sucker at the parade!

Reading books with Grandma Collins

Intently watching a show!

Sutton & Papa had to take a "power nap" after the parade!

Sutton is fascinated by worms!

Brothers having fun!

Daddy was having fun with the "popper" fireworks we had left over from last year, as Sawyer did not like them last year.  This year, he LOVED the fireworks.

Sutton had fun playing with all the remnants!

Having LOTS of fun!

Grandma & Papa Collins and the boys!

Collins Family!

July 4 is also Mommy's birthday, so this was our attempt to get a picture!

Sutton REALLY enjoyed the watermelon.

Sawyer trying to entertain himself while we waited for the sun to go down!

Sutton found some lighting bugs!

Sawyer really liked the sparklers, but wanted to wear his gloves so he "wouldn't burn his hands!"
He's our safety kid!

Sutton thought the smoke from the smoke bombs was really neat!

One of our fireworks!

Getting VERY sleepy!

Patiently waiting for the fireworks to be over!
