Relaxing Weekend

Since Daddy was gone all last week, we did a lot of relaxing around our house this weekend.  Friday evening, we spent some time with our neighbors.  It was fun to hang out with everyone, and the boys enjoyed playing with all their friends in the neighborhood.  Then, we spent the rest of the weekend just having fun and relaxing.  Of course, we had to make a trip to Toys R Us -- the only good thing about Daddy being gone for a week!   The boys (especially Sawyer) had way too much fun looking at all the toys and trying to decide which one we were going to buy.  Monday, we took the boys to the park and to Sonic for lunch, as Sawyer asked us "how come we never eat any where good like McDonalds?!"  I guess the restaurants we usually eat at are not considered "good!"  Sutton also used the potty several times this weekend, and even asked us to go a few times.  We count all the small accomplishments along the potty training journey!  Sutton is also starting to talk more and more each day.  Thanks for checking in on the Collins Family!

He was drawing "wolverine, a bad guy, and a princess wolverine was rescuing."  He is working on the princess with "yellow hair, red lips and a purple dress."  The bad guy is in the middle and wolverine is at the bottom, with his claws.  He has such an active imagination!

Oh ... technology!  They had played together a lot earlier in the evening, but needed to "play some games" as they were getting tired.

Sutton had to take a morning "power nap!"  He just crawled up in the recliner and fell asleep.

In fact, he even wore his khaki shorts and boat shoes for the trip -- he usually only wears his athletic shorts and tennis shoes!

I was trying to get a picture of them side by side on these slides -- I only had one son who wanted to cooperate!  Sutton had his hand on his hip and was saying "NO!"
