Lazy Sunday

We had a fantastic, lazy Sunday.  The boys started off their morning "watching a show" in our bed.  Then, they were outside ALL DAY LONG!  We started out playing in the front, and ended up all over the yard, including the garden.  They spent almost 2 hours digging and playing in the mud in the garden.  It started as digging with gloves and mud boots on and progressed to putting the degrading Halloween pumpkins and other treasures Sutton found in the garden in their "mud house" and both ended up not having gloves on.  They were COVERED in mud head to toe and front to back (we even had to use a nail brush to get the mud off their hands!), but they sure did have fun.  I loved sitting in a chair in the fire pit area, reading a book, and listening to them play together.  What a fabulous Sunday it was -- children are truly a blessing!  This was an "enjoying the simple things in life" day for us!

Playing with brother's new Lego fire truck on the porch.  Sawyer had been in negotiation with us about why he deserved a reward and of course, Daddy went a little crazy at the toy store!  Sawyer has been having fantastic days at school and had a sub several days this week who wrote great things on his homework.  Of course, Sutton received a reward too, as his behavior has been greatly improving with listening, but he wanted to play with Sawyer's toy!

Playing b-ball with Daddy.
I don't know who is having more fun!

Dirt time!  They had LOTS of fun in the garden.
They both are still "dirt magnets!"

Sutton was finding "treasures" in the garden and dumping them over the fence for Sawyer!

Cuddling with Daddy at the end of the day!
Love all these boys at our house!
