We did a short "K.C. Stay-cation" trip with some friends. We were able to stay at the Marriott downtown. We started our day of on Sunday, July 5 with lunch on the Plaza, followed by the girls doing some shopping and the boys watching the Royals game. We went out for dinner downtown, then to the Green Lady Lounge to listen to some live music. We ended up back at the hotel playing one of our favorite games --catch phrase! The next day, we went out for breakfast, went to visit Steve at his store on the Boulevard, took a tour of the Boulevard Brewing Company. Then, we went out to eat again and were going to a cool bar downtown -- Manifesto, but it was flooded. The tornado sirens went off and we spent some time in one of the ballrooms. Massive amounts of rain fell and changed our plans. The next day, it was breakfast and then back home! What a fun trip, with more great memories with fun friends!

So, where are the boys??
They were at home with Grandma Pam & Aunt Lisa. Here are a few of the pictures they sent us while we were away. They had lots of fun playing outside, building forts, going to the pool, and watching movies. I don't even think they missed us!

Sawyer ALMOST lost a tooth while we were gone. It stayed in place until we arrived back home!
Somebody was sleepy after pool time!
