What a great day we had watching the Homecoming Parade. Mommy took the day off work, as our entire town shuts down for this event -- if you aren't in the parade, then you are watching the parade. Sawyer had half a day of school, and then we walked to where we had parked to watch the parade. This was Sutton's first time to experience the parade, but he sure did enjoy it! We couldn't get Sutton to wear any purple or gold (the school colors)! We always watch the parade with several friends/neighbors, and have a "tailgate lunch." Grandma Collins was even visiting us and came with us to the parade. The boys have TONS of candy now and are exhausted! We will rest a little, then go to the football game tonight!
Anxiously awaiting the parade to begin!
Grant, Reese & Sawyer
Waiting and more waiting -- We had to wait almost an hour for the parade to begin.
Sutton was excited, as his friend Hayden was there -- we met him at the pool this summer.
Grant sitting in Sutton's chair!
Sawyer stopped and did this when the American flag and "soldiers" (VFW members) went by!
Sutton got the hang of the wave and they throw candy to me!
Wanting more candy!!
Sutton's bag was getting heavy, so he was dragging it around.
He did a great job of sharing with everyone!
So excited after the parade -- and tired!
Sawyer is holding the helmet he designed in art class this week!
Fun times!
