I had the day off work to attend the second grade field trip with Sawyer's class. They went to the Prairie Fire Museum in Overland Park, Kansas. It had a lot of hands on things for the kids to do. We went through the museum with his class, ate lunch, and then once his class loaded the buses to return to school, we went back through the museum again. On our second trip through there were only a few other people in the museum with us! He LOVED being able to explore at his own pace. He spent lots of time putting a dinosaur skeleton together. He was disappointed he didn't have enough time to finish it the first time through the museum. What a great day! I'm so glad I get to go along with the boys on days like today!
Getting ready to go!
Chloe and Sawyer (they were the group I was in charge of!)
His entire class (he is sitting on the right side of the picture)
This is the skeleton he spent LOTS of time on!
The museum is beautiful on the outside.
You could make your own dinosaur and watch it walk across this huge screen in the lobby.
