Sawyer had his 15 month check-up last Thursday. He is still at the 75th percentile for height and weight. His official stats are: 24 pounds 4 ounces and 32 inches tall. He continues to be a very solid little boy and I would have guessed he weighed closer to 30 pounds after carrying him around for a few minutes! He is a very happy little boy who loves to smile. He loves looking at his books and having mommy or daddy read to him. He has quite a few words he says on a regular basis and is using his sign language less and less. He is really starting to repeat what we say (we are really going to have to start watching what we say!). He loves to sing and has learned lots of hand motions to songs at daycare. He LOVES to eat and snack time and meal time are two of his favorite things! He can even get his snack cup out of his drawer and point to the cabinet when he is ready for a snack. He is not a picky eater and will eat almost anything we eat. He is very inquisitive and watches us carefully to see how things work. He is starting to throw temper tantrums at times when we tell him no or redirect him towards something else. He loves being outside and can even open the front door (when we forget to lock it!) to let himself out. He thrives on his daily routine and continues to love bath time and snuggle time with daddy before bedtime. He definitely knows what he can and can't do within our house, but he continues to test us every once in awhile to make sure the answer is still NO! He loves waving "hi" to the neighbors when they drive by. He absolutely loves all the dogs in the neighborhood and no one can walk by our house without Sawyer running towards them if they have a dog with them. He likes to play in the dirt and mulch and loves putting things in his bucket and then dumping them out, over and over again! I can't say enough about our cute little boy who continues to amaze us every day. It is really true what they say --- life through the eyes of a child is amazing. Having Sawyer makes us appreciate all the little things in life and makes us stop and celebrate the small wonders in life. Thanks for checking in on Sawyer! He would blow you a kiss if he could! He LOVES to blow kissess!
Waving hi!
His serious look.
His smile that melts us!
Riding the lawn mower with daddy for the first time. He did not even attempt to take off his ear protection. I told him he had to wear them to be on the lawn mower with daddy. He LOVED his ride and daddy LOVED having a little helper.
