18 Months

Wow!  We can't belive Sawyer is 18 months old (as of July 8).  He had his 18 month check-up 2 weeks ago.  His official stats are:  25 pounds, 15 ounces (50th percentile) and 32.5 inches tall (75th percentile).   He is now repeating EVERYTHING we say and frequently uses 3 or 4 words together when talking to us.  He still loves to read and usually has us read at least 10 books when we get home from work.  He likes to point out everything he sees on the page.  He is now running everywhere he goes and usually has some sort of scrape or bruises on his knees from falling or running into things.  He is a rough, tough little boy and is not afraid of anything!  He is very good at using his spoon and fork to feed himself and eats almost as much as we do at every meal, plus has several snacks everyday.  He still loves bath time and his usual night time snuggle with daddy prior to going to bed.  He has his nightime routine down pat and usually falls asleep quickly once in his bed.  He LOVES to be outside and sometimes it is the first word out of his mouth when he wakes up.   He likes riding his bike, looking for bunnies, finding bugs, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, playing in the water and playing on the slide outside.   He now wakes up and likes to hang out in his crib for awhile before mommy or daddy come and get him.  He is starting to use the "big potty" sometimes and we are going to start full potty training very soon, as he shows a big interest in the big potty.  Everyday he gets a little more independent, and he LOVES helping mommy and daddy do anything.  I could go on and on about our little cutie!!  He continues to be the center of our lives and we can't imagine life without him. Thanks to all you blog followers for continuing to check on Sawyer and what he has been up to lately.

Reading -- one of his favorite things to do.
Sleeping boy.  We are so thankful he hasn't even attempted to crawl out of his crib -- YET -- but we know that day is coming.
