We sure did enjoy our 3 day weekend! On Friday night, Mommy & Daddy went out on a date and the boys were home with a babysitter they love! We were able to relax at home all 3 mornings. The boys love hanging out in bed with us on lazy mornings. On Saturday morning, we went out for breakfast and then ran some errands, in the rain! We didn't mind the rain though, as we really needed the rain. Mommy & Sawyer even went for a walk in the drizzling rain when we arrived home. Sawyer was super excited, as one of our errands was shopping for new shoes for him. He now has a new pair of Hulk tennis shoes, which he picked out and loves! I think he would even wear them to bed if we would let him! We went to a Royals game, which didn't go quite as we hoped. The game was at 1:00pm and both boys were hot and tired, since it was nap time! We left the game in the 5th inning. We also visited our local park and had LOTS of fun at home with the boys. Here are some snap shots of our weekend. What a fun, relaxing weekend it was for us!
Sutton lounging on Daddy and eating some cereal and yogurt bites!
Zoned out Sawyer watching his new favorite show -- Mike the Knight!
This is how much he loves his new shoes! He wore them all day long. At one point, he had taken all his clothes off, except his underwear -- since "Hulk doesn't wear clothes and he has green skin like mine -- see, my skin is green!" He has such an active imagination.
So excited to be going to see the Royals.
Attempting to get a picture of the boys before the game started. The first thing Sawyer said once we found our seats -- "Its hot. I want to go back in the shade!" Our seats were a few rows back from the field!
We had a hard time getting Sutton to leave his sunglasses or hat on.
Mommy watched a lot of the game standing up, in a service corridor, as it was in the shade and much cooler for Sutton who was VERY sleepy. Once Sutton was asleep, I sat back down in our seats, using a blanket draped over us to keep the sun off him.
This was his unhappy "I am ready to go home" face when he woke up from his 30 minute nap! One hour and 30 minutes into the game and it was time for us to make an exit before both boys became really cranky and interrupted those around us! We did get a certificate in recognition of Sutton's first visit to Kauffman Stadium.
Of course, both boys fell asleep in the trunk on the way home.
Park time!
Sawyer was excited to use the digger again!
Sutton wanted a turn doing something fun!
What a little dare devil -- with some help from Daddy!
Of course, Sawyer never misses an opportunity to play in dirt!
Running of some energy!
This is his "mom quit taking pictures" look!
Sawyer wanted me to take a picture of his "guys" tonight.
