Just a few cute stories from Sawyer from the past few weeks, before I forget!
Sawyer's class has a color chart for the kids to have a visual of how their behavior is during the day. They get to move a clothes pin with their name on it up or down throughout the day, Sawyer calls it "clipping up/down." The chart goes hot pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange & red. Green means you have had a good day and followed all instructions. Anything above that you are doing above & beyond and anything below green means your behavior could use improvement. We have a strict "no red" policy in our house and expect Sawyer to be on green or above when we pick him up. A few weeks ago, Sawyer had a "red day" and was in bed when I arrived home from getting my hair cut. Sam gave him a bath and sent him to bed. He got up to eat dinner, but then had to go back to bed. I went into his room to talk to him about his day when I arrived home. He knows he is not allowed to have any books or toys in bed when he is in trouble. After telling me about his day, he looks at me with the sweetest little face and asks if he can "please read his Bible for just a little while." Of course, I let him. Who could say no to The Bible! He is too smart!
Just one more -- Sawyer & Sutton had school pictures a few weeks ago. They have a company come in that dresses the kids in costumes. (We don't have the proofs back yet!) We were asking Sawyer what he dressed up in to take his pictures and he tells me "a fire fighter and some old man stuff!" I am guessing it was a shirt and tie, because later he told Sam he dressed up as a "fireman and a husband!" He is so funny!
