Family Vacation!!!

We went on a much needed, week long family vacation.  We rented a cabin at The Wilderness Lodge in Lesterville, Missouri.  It was a fun little, rustic resort where they served us breakfast and dinner every day in a central lodge.  The food was amazing and the boys even helped in the kitchen one morning!  Our cabin backed up to the river, and there was plenty to do on the resort -- game room, swimming, putt putt golf, beautiful deck to hang out on, and zip line for the kids.  We had tons of fun playing games and hanging out as a family.  Our cabin had electricity, but there was no TV.  It was great to spend some time as a family, away from all our usual distractions at home.

On Day one, we bought the boys some candy and chips on our way there and let them eat them at 10:00am -- right away, they thought vacation was great!  On our way to the cabin, we stopped to explore the Johnson Shut Ins.  We checked into our cabin and let the boys play in the creek.  They thought it was great fun to throw LOTS and LOTS of rocks.  We ate a delicious dinner and rested up for day two!  Unfortunately, I did not take our camera with us while we were exploring the shut-ins, so we don't have any pictures.

In our cabin

We had brought some books, activity books and other activities to do which were non-electronic!

Out cabin had a cabinet full of games.  Sawyer LOVED Simplexity!

Sutton had fun playing with dominos we borrowed from Grandma & Papa.
We had lots of time to relax!

They slept great!  They were up about an hour after we were!
