Vacation Day 2 -- continued

On day two, we also visited the Battle of Pilot Knob.  We  did a three mile hike to Taum Sauk to see a waterfall.  We were able to also stop by a park and they boys swam in the pool after a wonderful dinner!

Sawyer was fascinated by the museum and short film we watched about this historic Civil War battle!

The Mina Sauk Falls drops 132 feet over a series of rocky ledges.  It was considered a "moderately rugged" trail.  They boys did great hiking it!

On our hike, it was a battle to see who could be in first!  We of course had to take turns.  These boys are all about competition!

The views were beautiful!

There were some pretty big elevation changes on this hike, but the boys did great!

Boy they LOVE to have their picture taken!

"Mommy take my picture!"

Mommy & Daddy selfie!

We also climbed a look out tower, and Sawyer did NOT like the height.

Sutton scraped his knee, as he missed the last step -- so the fun was over!

Sutton fell asleep on the way back to the cabin.  He was exhausted!

Sawyer is always reading!  His love of reading is great to see!  He knows more about WWI, WWII, and the Civil War than we do!
