Fun with Friends and Random Happenings ....

One evening, we enjoyed having a fire pit night with friends, since the weather has been more fall like than August like!  Sutton likes to drive Connlyn around in his dune racer, but Connlyn would rather drive!  One day we were able to take Reese on a bike ride with us up to the front pond in our neighborhood.  We also had one final pool day one day when Mommy was off work and ran into several friends there.  We have had a wonderful summer and the boys are looking forward to school starting soon!  They both miss their friends.
Sutton setting up the tent!  He loves this tent he received as a gift from Aunt Sheila & Uncle Steve.

Connlyn -- he will be 3 soon!

Crazy driver Sutton!

Can you tell he didn't want me to take a picture?

We have started seeing deer in our backyard.
We had a doe and two fawns in our backyard on this day.

Getting a treat at Dairy Queen!

Silly kids!

Sutton found his best friend Cameron at the pool!

Sawyer also found his friend Liam.

Sawyer LOVES to read!

Settling in for movie night!

Another adventure to the front pond.  It is a two mile walk to the front pond and back to our house.  The boys love to either walk there or ride their bikes.  It is a great way to get some exercise and kill some time!  It usually takes us about 45 minutes to go up, explore the pond and come back home.

Sutton woke up one morning with some significant swelling of his penis.  I attempted to call the doctor, but did not get a call back (it was a Sunday morning).  We decided to just take him to Children's Mercy ER.  Come to find out, it is a common thing they see.  It was called "summer penile syndrome" and was swelling usually due to an insect bite.  We used hydrocortisone cream, Zyrtec & Benadryl to get it all back to normal after a few days.  Sutton thought having his own TV and remote was great.  I chalked it up to a $125 piece of mind visit.  At least it wasn't anything serious!

Daddy received a "Happy Beerthday Cake" from the Canaan Family!
