We love our small town and their homecoming traditions! Our boys look forward to the Homecoming Parade every year. They only have half a day of school to allow for the parade to happen. Sawyer rode on a float with his soccer team and Sutton and Mommy watched the parade. Sutton initially wanted to ride on the float, but quickly changed his mind after thinking it over and realizing he would be throwing candy not receiving candy! Sutton had a ton of candy at the end! This year, Mommy volunteered to make signs for their float. Good thing Daddy helped and did most of the work, so their signs looked professional! What a fun day, and the weather was great!
Sawyer with the completed sign! We made two -- one for each side of the trailer!
Sutton with his football he decorated in art class!
Waiting for the parade, having some pizza and gatorade!
He had to dump his bucket into another sack twice during the parade, as he collected A LOT of candy!

Daddy's company sponsored his team and provided their shirts to everyone with their new logo!
A picture of his team (and our signs) made it into the local paper!
On our way home -- hot & tired!

On our way to the football game!
Picture from a local photographer of the parade. Our town literally shuts down while this 30 minute parade happens. We love it!
Last year, Sawyer finished the parade with a lot of candy left. This year, he made sure he tossed us and everyone else tons of candy. I told him if he only threw one piece to us like he did last year I was going to run along the float. He definitely didn't want that to happen!
