Spring Break -- WWI Museum

We had thought about going to Omaha this weekend, as the boys have a few days off of school for their spring break, but the weather is too cold!  We decided to stay in K.C. and of course Sawyer begged to go to the WWI museum.  Sutton was on board to and wanted to go see the museum.  It was Sutton's first time to the museum and Sawyer's third trip!
Leaving!
They were excited and of course Sawyer had his WWI book to read in the car on the way there!

Walking up to the museum.

Entrance of the museum.

It has some really neat interactive tables the boys really liked.

The tank they were looking forward to seeing!

Here's a comparison of Sawyer's first trip to the museum (age 7) and his current trip (age 9) with his brother!

I thought these were interesting -- advertisements used during the 1917 U.S. Food Saving Efforts.

Family picture on top of the museum.  It was really windy!

Selfie from the top of the tower -- REALLY windy up there!

Stairs going up to the top of the tower.  We were on our way back down to the elevator!

The tower is HUGE!

Boys going down the steps at the front of the museum.  They are pretty steep!

We were able to see a famous painting entitled "Gassed" in the gallery.

Can you tell they were done with my picture taking?

Off for some lunch at Charlie Hoopers in Mommy & Daddy's old neighborhood!
We also had to go by Foos for some frozen custard!

Sutton was exhausted!

Sawyer was reading!
