Sawyer is really interested in WWI & WWII. He has several big books on these subjects and takes one of them to school with him EVERY day! He and Sutton had been working on building a trench in our front ditch. Daddy got involved and really helped them turn their plans into reality. We now have a fort, ladder into the trench and a foot bridge in our back yard. They have already had hours of fun! We love watching them enjoy being outside and being kids! Of course, they have numerous toy guns and mud boots they take out there with them. They continue to be dirt magnets!
One morning, as we were leaving, it started hailing. Mommy pulled the car back in the garage and waited for the hail to stop. We had so much hail it looked like snow. This storm ruined our roof, good thing the car was in the garage or it would have been damaged too. Almost every house on our street is getting a new roof because of this storm. We also had 4.5 inches of rain and there was flooding in the neighborhood.
Our roof was full of hail and it also clogged the gutters!
