2 Week Doctor Visit

A photo from yesterday morning. Sawyer is really good at smiling involuntarily. I wasn't fast enough to get the full smile. We are anxiously awaiting his first purposeful smile!

Hanging out once we got home from the doctor's office.

Sawyer's first scheduled doctor's visit went well. He now weighs 9 lbs, 1 oz! Dr. Moylan wanted him back to his birth weight (7lb, 15 oz) by this visit -- looks like we have an over achiever! He also grew 1/4 of an inch -- he is now 20 1/4 inches long. He tolerated his doctor's visit, and only cried minimally when he was completely naked. Dad was able to swaddle him and calm him once Dr. Moylan was done examining him.
He continues to eat like a champ, and gives us cues (sucking on his hand, rooting, etc.) when he is hungry and if mom doesn't get ready in time he gives us a loud scream! He is serious about his eating and doesn't want to miss a single meal. He eats about every 2 hours -- sometimes a little more frequently during the day; but he sleeps about 3 hours between feedings at night.
After his doctor visit yesterday, Sawyer went on his first stroller ride (since it was 63 degrees and sunny yesterday). Mom and dad had a few quick errands to run, so we put Sawyer in his stroller and away we went. He seemed to enjoy being outside, even if it was only for a few minutes.
