Sutton was 5 months old a few days ago -- March 4th!!! Time really flies when you are growing and having fun. On Monday afternoon, we picked the boys up early. However, our fun afternoon turned into a trip to urgent care for Sutton. Poor little guy had pink eye in both eyes and a double ear infection. This is his first (and we hope only) ear infection. He was completely miserable. Mommy stayed home with him on Tuesday and was called home from work to pick him up early Wednesday afternoon. Finally, his antibiotics are starting to work and he no longer has a fever.
Since Sutton is now 5 months old, he can roll wherever he wants to go. He likes laying on his tummy and is starting to bring his knees up while he is propped up on his elbows. Crawling will probably be in the near future for him. He is very alert and watches everything Sawyer does. He is really interested in his toys and especially likes the squeaky ones and the brightly colored ones. Everything he picks up goes straight to his mouth and he has started drooling a lot. He can now grab objects he wants and has started grabbing our hair, glasses & necklaces! He really likes grabbing his feet, in fact that's the first thing he does when you are changing his diaper. He is a very happy baby and flashes smiles at almost anyone who talks to him. He has even started to laugh. He still isn't fond of going to sleep and does what we call "belly aching" when he is trying to keep himself awake. He makes non-stop whining, moaning noises. It is really funny, because his eyes are closed when he is doing it and if he would quit he would immediately fall asleep. Unfortunately, he still has yet to sleep through the night and wakes up around 2:00am for a feeding. He then wakes up ~5:30am happy, smiling, talkative & ready to begin his day -- 7 days a week! He continues to bring us so much joy and even though we are a bit tired ----- we wouldn't have it any other way!
You can tell by his eyes that he doesn't feel real good. This was taken on Tuesday when we were home for Sutton's "sick day."
By Wednesday night he was feeling better.
