State Park Adventure

Since today was another, beautiful, spring-like day (highs in the 50's and sunny) we decided to take the boys on an adventure.  After eating breakfast out, we went to Burr Oak Woods Nature Center in Blue Springs.  They LOVED it!  We went on a two mile hike and they were able to explore lots of things.  They loved finding leaves, sticks, and a snail shell.  Sawyer had fun exploring in the rock formations.  The trails were well marked and easy to follow, which allowed the boys to do some great exploring.  What a beautiful day to be outside.  After exploring nature, we stopped at a park to let them play for awhile.  Then, it was home for a nap!  Here is a picture recap of our day.
Cute Collins Boys!

At the beginning of the trail, Sawyer climbed on this stump.

And so did Sutton!  He does EVERYTHING his brother does!
He was so proud of himself.

Sutton and Mommy trailed behind, as Sutton had to carry his drink and stop a lot to check stuff out.

Fun log to climb on!

Again .... Sutton was right behind his big brother!

Sutton found a big leaf.

And Sawyer found a "gun stick!"  Gotta love boys!

Guess who else found a "gun stick!"

We think he was possibly trying to potty, but by the time we figured it out, he had already gone in his pull-up.  Silly boy!

Exploring on the rocks.

Sutton was having a fit .... Mommy took his snack away, as he was having a hard time walking on the uneven ground AND holding his snack!

Sawyer found a path to run on!

About half way through the trail, Sawyer gave Daddy a BIG hug and said "Thank you Daddy, this was an awesome adventure!"

All the Collins Boys!

Another picture with Mommy!
