This past weekend, we were stuck at home due to the winter weather. Friday night, we had freezing rain that left our driveway like a sheet of ice. We spent the ENTIRE weekend at home, which is unusual for us. The boys had lots of fun coloring, finger painting, playing with a cardboard box, and playing with various other toys -- cars, fire trucks, super heroes, blocks, etc! I think the cardboard box was their favorite. They drew on it for a long time and made a race car.
Daddy had to go to Texas on a business trip this week. We are already counting down the days until he returns home! This morning we started getting LOTS of snow. We are suppose to have 6-8 inches when it is all said and done. I was already planning on staying home, as I didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck in a ditch some where and not being able to make it back home to the boys. However, Sawyer made sure there wasn't even a chance I would go to work -- he came down with a stomach bug last night after dinner. The poor kid was vomitting and having diarrhea most of the night. Today, he still was not himself and just wanted to lay around and watch TV -- definitely not the way he usually acts! Sutton was nice and ornery today and tried to dismantle our house every chance he got. He was on the move all day long. Sawyer is feeling much better now, and the boys were full of energy right before bedtime. I did not take any pictures today, as I was too busy chasing Sutton and cleaning up messes all day. There is nothing like the sound of vomit hitting the carpet as you are trying to corral the other kid (Sutton) in the next room! Here are a few pictures we took during the weekend.
Playing on the i-pad.
Working together on their box!
Notice Sawyer had to get his racing gloves and helmet. He also had lots of other things in his car!
He cracks us up!
Yep, our house was a MESS all weekend long, but we sure did have HAPPY kids!
Sutton was getting sleepy...
but still ornery ....
He took a 30 minute "power nap" in the chair on Saturday morning -- all by himself!
Sunday morning it was more fun at home!
