It is NEVER good when the school nurse calls you. She called both Mommy & Daddy to let us know Sawyer had fallen on the playground and hit his head on a bench. On the phone the nurse said "Sawyer fell on the playground and his head took most of the fall!" All I could think of was his head was split open and he needed stitches -- but thankfully, it was just a large bump. The nurse told us it was the school protocol to monitor him for 10-15 minutes, and then send him back to class. However, she told us "if it was my kid I would take him home." So, it was Daddy to the rescue! Daddy arrived and took Sawyer home to rest, and also took him to the pediatrician's office, as we were worried he might have a concussion. His visit went fine, and thankfully he did NOT have a concussion. He spent the rest of the day resting at home with Daddy.

A few days later, it was turning green & yellow.
