Guess who turned 3 today -- Sutton!
It's hard to believe how big he is getting. It seems like we just brought this little cutie home!
He was super excited to have Grandma & Papa Collins, Grandma Pam, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Sheila & Uncle Steve all at our house to celebrate his birthday. We had one of his favorite meals -- burritos, then had cake and opened presents! Sutton has grown into such a sweet, independent, funny, ornery and stubborn kid. He LOVES to to "art projects." He can spend hours, cutting/gluing, putting stickers on paper, and coloring. He also likes reading and pointing to pictures in books. He loves to do ANYTHING his big brother is doing. He is very active and really likes to jump off things, such as his bed and the stool in the bathroom. He can dress himself, brush his teeth, and likes to pick out his own snacks from the pantry. He is quite independent, but is afraid of the dark, so he likes for you to come with him every where he goes, even if it is just across the room! He has really started talking A LOT and we love to listen to him! He and Sawyer have really started to play well together. We had a great time celebrating his birthday, and he loved being the center of attention!
He had to have a little taste!
Then, he waited patiently for Mommy to cut the cake!
I had to make a green & blue cake. Depending on which day you would ask him, he would say he wanted a "blue cake" or a "green cake." I certainly didn't want to disappoint him -- so we had both!
Present time!
Sawyer even had a few small presents! He is looking forward to his birthday in January!
Notice -- his front two teeth are really coming in!

After dinner, we all enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit. We even had s'mores later in the evening!
