On Thursday, Sawyer had his 6 month check-up. He now weighs 16 pounds, 10 ounces and is 26.75 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. Sawyer's doctor stated he had "advanced motor skills" and advised Sawyer to "stay away from your physical therapist mom and hang out on the couch with your dad more!" Sawyer is crawling all over the place on his belly. He can come up on all 4's, and likes to lounge on his side. He is very close to figuring how to sit up on his own. He still needs some help when sitting, as he loses his balance and falls, but he is starting to put his arm out to catch himself. We now have a baby gate up on the stairs, and are working on baby proofing the house a little more each day.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Sawyer had a cute 4th of July outfit, courtesy of Grandma Pam. Grandma Pam & Aunt Lisa were in town visiting us. We went to the neighborhood parade and pancake breakfast to start our day. Sawyer enjoyed hanging out with Grandma Pam and Aunt Lisa while mommy & daddy completed a few projects around the house. Sawyer was in bed long before the fireworks began, as he had a busy weekend.
