Post-op Day one

We had a good night last night, considering Sawyer had surgery yesterday. He woke up twice in the middle of the night, and of course wanted to eat both times! The first time he was awake, it was also time for pain medicine again. He woke up full of smiles today and ready to play. We have been playing all morning, and even spent some time rocking on our porch this morning since the weather is so beautiful. I removed his dressing this morning and he is very bruised, but has not been fussy at all, which tells me is pain has been well controlled. He is finally down for a nap, so I thought I would do a quick post to update everyone. Thanks for checking in on Sawyer.

Hanging out with ducky in his crib.
Playing in the new fun tunnel we received from the Mohrmann boys. He LOVES this tunnel!
He quickly learned how to pull the fish, which are held on with velcro, off!
Hanging out in his room, earlier this morning, when mommy thought he might take a nap -- silly mommy -- he did not want to sleep, he just wanted to play!

Nap time finally, and this little boy was EXHAUSTED!

  1. So glad Sawyer loves the tunnel and that he seems to be recovering from surgery with flying colors! Yeah Sawyer! Henry misses you...he told me this morning that you miss him too. Take care little man! The Mohrmanns
