Sawyer is 3!!!!

Today was Sawyer's 3rd Birthday!  He was so excited about his birthday.  He wanted to "watch a show, then have breakfast so it can be my birthday!"  We did exactly that, watched one of his favorite shows, ate breakfast, and opened his birthday presents.  He was so excited about his football helmet, jersey with shoulder pads and football pants!  He wore them all day long.  He helped mommy make cupcakes to take to school tomorrow to celebrate with his friends and played catch with daddy today.  He went to bed completely exhausted!

Now that Sawyer is three, he is really using his imagination.  He has imaginary friends who appear from time to time.  He also uses ordinary objects and pretends they are whatever he needs them to be at the time.  He is very helpful, and loves to help us with his little brother.  He can get himself completely dressed, which is a big help in the morning.  He still likes us to help him most of the time though.  He loves to read and going to the library is something he enjoys.  He also likes playing outside and playing with all of his various toys -- trains, cars, super heroes, construction equipment, and sports stuff.  He is very inquisitive and asks us more questions than we can keep track of everyday!  He has an incredible memory and doesn't forget anything!  He still likes to help me when I cook and always asks for "samples" when we are cooking or baking.  He has a lot of energy and is on the move from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed.  He still takes one 1-2 hour nap during the afternoon, which allows us to get a few things done around the house on the weekend.  We can't believe three years have gone by already!  Sawyer is such a fun, loving, intelligent kid and we can't even remember what life was like before he arrived in our lives!  Thanks for checking in on our boys!
So excited to open presents!  He was more excited about his birthday than he was about Christmas!

Finding his football helmet!

Getting ready to change into a "football player!"
Here's our "little Tiger!"

"Sampling" the cupcake batter!

Playing after his nap!  Yes, he even slept in his football pants.  We made  him take his jersey off during nap, as it has plastic shoulder pads in it.

His treats to share with his friends -- we put 3 M&M's on each cupcake, "because I am 3" as Sawyer said!

Mommy & Daddy singing "Happy Birthday" to him at dinner!

After he blew out his candles he said "I made a wish!"  We hope it comes true, we have no idea what he wished for!
