Weekend Fun --- Collins Family Style!

We had another great weekend.  It was just the four of us at home.  We did LOTS of landscaping work at our house and played outside with the kids.  Sawyer had fun playing in the dirt and playing with his various toys.  Sutton took long (~2 hour) morning naps each day and enjoyed being outside in the shade in his pack-in-play while we were working.  Sam bought 20 plants on his way home from work on Friday, and we bought even more plants (~40) and mulch on Sunday morning.  Saturday evening, we tried a new restaurant, which we liked and will visit again.  The boys had lots of fun.  Sutton even got to try his first popsicle -- which he loved.

Random tidbits ------ Sutton now prefers to ONLY eat real food -- not baby food.  We tried to feed him baby food several times this weekend, and he refused to eat it!  His top two teeth are almost coming through the skin.  We can actually see white teeth through his gums!  On anther note, Sawyer announced to me on Friday when I picked him up from school that he "didn't want to bring his bear back to school" and he also wanted another blanket to use at school during nap time.  This is the star blanket & teddy bear Sawyer has taken to school with him since he was a baby.  Tomorrow, he will be taking a CARS blanket to school with him.  Kind of makes me a little sad.  The boys are growing up way too fast!!!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Thanks for checking in on our family.
Mmmmm Popsicles are good!!

Sawyer was "riding his tractor like Daddy!"
Sam has a trailer he hauls behind the lawn mower when we are doing yard work.

Sawyer's face is dirty from playing in the garden.

These next two pictures crack me up.  Sawyer was whining and Daddy was acting silly trying to get him to focus on something else.  Sutton gave Daddy a look like "are you crazy!" and Sawyer couldn't quit laughing.  It worked though -- Sawyer quit whining!
Yep -- My Daddy is crazy!
My Daddy is so silly!!

Having fun watching Sawyer play baseball.

Our little baseball player!
Sawyer's biggest fan!

Sawyer & Daddy

Sutton was rescuing his bunny from the crib!
We only let him have his bunny during nap time and bed time, but now that he can stand he reaches his arm in his crib to get his bunny when we are playing in his room.

Army crawling.
Sutton can crawl on all 4's, but will return to army crawling when he is off the carpet and on the concrete floor.  We think it is because he can move faster.  He is REALLY fast!

Ornery Sutton!
Getting ready to pull himself up to standing -- what a cutie!

Can you tell then enjoyed their after nap popsicles????

Power nap with Daddy.

Just a few pictures of the landscaping around our house.

West end of the house ---- Sam created steps up to the front yard, as the yard is steep here and hard to mow.  We then peeled the grass off and planted 40 ground cover plants and mulched them.  This was our Sunday project!  Pictures don't really show all our hard work to its fullest!
Sawyer on the steps.
On along the west side of the house -- Sam has created a rock drainage ditch, which he added more rock & plants to this weekend.  This area is much bigger than it appears in a picture.
Another area we finished at the corner of the house in the back.  Doesn't look like much, but we had to weed the bed, put weed mat down, edge it and then put rock in it.  We go to bed tired at our house!!
