Chief & Teeth

This weekend, Sawyer was all about dressing up as a fire fighter with his boots and hat.  He said he was "Fire Chief Johnny Ladders" and kept asking Mommy & Daddy where they saw fires.  He would then rush over to put them out.  He also spent a lot of time at the fire station, which was his top bunk! He was also a doctor at one point and was doing lots of surgeries and then having to check on his patients.  He had his stethoscope out and even had his baby boy dressed in the yellow footies he wore while at Children's Mercy.   His imagination is wonderful to watch in action and we never know what he is going to do or say next.  At one point he even had a fire dog, and he rescued LOTS of people.  We also played lots of games inside this weekend -- Candy Land, Hi Ho Cherrio & Zingo -- and read lots of books.  Sutton is still crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything.  He can even take 5-10 steps while we hang onto his hands.  One of his front teeth has FINALLY emerged, and he has LOTS of other teeth on the verge of coming through his gums.  He is still as happy as can be and really likes to giggle & laugh.  He of course loves watching Sawyer and loves to be right in the middle of whatever Sawyer is doing.  What a ordinary, but fun weekend we had!

Another happening this weekend was Sutton got a haircut from Daddy while Mommy was at work on Saturday morning.  He just used the clippers to trim off the comb over he had going on and even it up a bit.  It looks better, but his baby looks are quickly disappearing!
