Sutton's 9 Month Check-up

See his top two teeth coming in!

Well, another month has gone by in a flash and Sutton is now 9 MONTHS OLD!!!!  We took him for his check-up today.  He weighed 19 pounds, 1 ounce and was 27.5 inches tall.  He was in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.  He is still working on getting his four front teeth to push through the gums.  He has decided he is absolutely NOT a baby and refuses to eat any baby food.  He prefers to eat food he can feed himself, but also eats a lot of yogurt & cottage cheese.  He still takes 4 or 5, 4 ounce bottles throughout the day.  He is really fast at crawling and prefers to stand.  He can stand for a few seconds without hanging onto anything, and his legs keep getting stronger and stronger.  He does a lot of squats as he is reaching down to pick up his toys while hanging onto something.  He continues to sleep about 11 hours at night (7pm-6am), and takes a 2 hour nap in the afternoon at school.  At home, he continues to take a morning nap and an afternoon nap.  Sawyer is still his favorite person to watch and he really likes all of Sawyer's toys.  In fact, he prefers Sawyer's toys to his baby toys.  He understands the few sign language signs we use with him, but has yet to sign back to us.  He is a very content baby who loves to explore his environment and notices anything new!  He is not fond of being contained in his exersaucer or pack-n-play and will usually only tolerate 10-15 minutes of either of those things.  We can't believe Sutton is 9 months old!
Thanks for checking in on our family!

Snuggling with his bunny at bed time.  He LOVES this rabbit and gets excited every night when we put him to bed, as his bunny is always waiting for him.
